Google Discover Challenge to Social Media

Google Discover

First, let me take you back some years and describe Google Feed.
Back in 2016, Google launched it’s feature called Goggle Feed as a bunch of cards meant to let people up to date on their interest and the stories that mattered the most.

You can say this was like social media where you find stories and articles related to your interest, your passion and that are most relevant to you.

Traditionally, when a user searches a query, Google and its SERPs tend to respond accordingly and bring the best dish on the table.
Google Feed, on the other hand, was appointed to tell you everything that you should never miss, without even searching for it.

That’s great, Right? But, there is still, a big question that how many people really like Google’s Social-media like function.

Can you Imagine, over 800 Million used the feature.

And then, Google started Investing more into this feature and rebranding it into Google Discover.

Rebranding to Google Discover

Google finally unveil the Curtains, and launch it's properly white washed Google Feed with a new name called Google Discover.

Can you guess? Until a few months people still called Google feed as Google Discover.

This is because of their very similar features. After all, both are from the same parent.

However, I have spotted some differences in both.

Let’s say you want to search for something you will write your query in Google search box and press enter. A list of results will be shown on your screen. Simultaneously, your Google feed will be filled with the same Interest that you have searched as a query.

On the other hand, in Google Discover’s life, all your page will be filled to the top of your favorite content when you never really searched anything, or even you don’t have a query on your mind.

Oh, Come on! There isn’t any “voodoo thing” here, it's the Google AI for you.
Pretty Awesome. Isn’t it?
